Unis student selected a state health ambassador

Student Afnan Hassan poses with a certificate she received for participating in Fuel Up to Play 60.

Congratulations to Unis Middle School student Afnan Hassan!  She was selected as one of two students from Michigan to participate in the Fuel Up to Play 60 Summit.  To participate, she attended meetings and finished required online assignments to earn points in the program. The four day summit was held in Cleveland, OH over the summer.

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a program that empowers students and educators to work together to build healthier schools and create healthy, high achieving students.  The effort is sponsored by the National Football League and the National Dairy Council.

Hassan will serve as a Fuel Up to Play 60 ambassador for this school year.  She was an Oakman Elementary student when she was chosen to attend the summit.
