Virtual Superintendent’s Honors Night event set for May 14

Dearborn Public Schools will present a Virtual Superintendent’s Honors Night on Thursday, May 14 at 6 p.m. The video will be available on the District’s YouTube channel and our Facebook page.

More than 400 students in the class of 2020 were invited this year to participate in the 35th annual Superintendent’s Honors Night. This year’s students were selected for having a GPA of at least 3.6 after seven semesters in the District, among other criteria. Traditionally, students who attend the Superintendent’s Honors Night are invited onstage to briefly recognize a Dearborn educator who had the most impact on their success.

However, with the state-mandated stay-home orders, the District was forced to cancel the in-person event this year.

Instead, the same students were invited to submit short video clips honoring their chosen educator. More than 70 eligible students submitted videos that will be included in Thursday’s Virtual Superintendent Honors Night. Please join us in honoring these outstanding students and educators.
