UPDATE – Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances the Superintendent is not available for the scheduled online Chatting with the Superintendent event. The event will be rescheduled for a later date. We apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience this may have caused.
You may have noticed that a lot has changed with education in Dearborn Public Schools in the last few months.
Parents, community members, students and others who want to hear the latest about what is happening in the District and want a chance to ask questions are invited to a Virtual Chatting with the Superintendent event on May 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Viewers can watch Live via the District’s YouTube Channel or Facebook page. Those who want to submit questions will need to do so on Facebook during the event or use our Google Form.
Superintendent Glenn Maleyko has held in-person Chatting with the Superintendent events for three years, rotating between different schools each year. The informal meetings for staff and the community provide a way for people to hear updates about what is going on in the district and to ask questions of Dr. Maleyko and other administrators.
This May event is a special addition to the Chatting with the Superintendent calendar.
COVID 19 has created a lot of changes and a situation that is constantly evolving for the what, when and how we educate and care for our students. Some questions – like what school will look like in the fall – the District may not be able to answer yet, but administrators can at least provide more information on current discussions and planning.
