Free special education webinar set for Sept. 9

A virtual event on Wednesday, Sept. 9, will give special education parents and students more information and tips for how to have a successful start to the school year.

“Supporting Students & Parents: A conversation with Mike Esseily, Director of Special Education” will take place on Sept. 9 from 5 to 6 p.m. 

The event is presented by the Healthy Dearborn’s Inclusive Health Committee.  The committee partnered with Dearborn Public Schools to offer resources to support special education students and their parents and caregivers during the school closures.

Viewers can watch the event live on Healthy Dearborn’s Facebook page or join via Zoom. The meeting will also be recorded and available for free on the Healthy Dearborn website.

Mr. Esseily will guide the discussion and offer his expertise on supporting children with disabilities during COVID-19.  The session will conclude with time for Mr. Esseily to answer questions viewers submit while registering for the meeting.
