Free summer meals for students are being offered at 15 sites around the Dearborn Public Schools Districts.
Breakfast and lunch are available to anyone younger than 18 or anyone younger than 25 with a physical or mental disability. Meals must be eaten at the site, and food cannot be taken home. At most locations, visitors will need to buzz the front door of the school to be allowed in and then sign in at the office.
Dearborn School students in kindergarten through eighth grade participating in this year’s free Summer Discovery Program receive meals as part of the program.
The meals are funded through the Summer Food Service Program as part of the National School Lunch Program.
Meals are available on June 12 to 14, June 19 to 21, June 24 to 28, July 1 and 2, July 15 to 18, and July 22 to 24. Breakfast is served from 8 to 9 a.m. at each location and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
