Wayne County parents and students interested in online learning are invited to learn more about Dearborn Public Schools Virtual K-12.
Virtual K-12 is open to students in kindergarten through high school from across Wayne County. The welcome event will be held on April 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. via Zoom.
Students who are already enrolled in Dearborn Public Schools and want to transfer into or out of Virtual K-12 for next school year need to complete the transfer form by May 6, 2025. Parents in the district who want to transfer their child into Virtual K-12 should complete this Transfer In form. In-district parents who would like their child to transfer out of VK-12 and into an in-person district school can use this Transfer Out form.
Students who are not currently enrolled in Dearborn Public Schools can start the enrollment process at www.dearbornschools.org/enroll.
Virtual K-12 students learn entirely online mostly in classes taught by Dearborn Public School staff. Students do need to come in periodically for required testing, and parents will need to come to the district occasionally to pick up supplies.
The school includes opportunities for virtual clubs, art lessons, music, media and more. High school students who qualify may be able to take classes at Henry Ford College at no cost to the family.
Parents who are interested in learning more are encouraged to explore the VK-12 website.
