40th Superintendent’s Honors Night recognizes students and educators

Congratulations to all of the students and staff who were recognized at the 40th annual Superintendent’s Honors Night on May 6, 2025!

Students about to graduate from the district were invited to attend if they have at least a 4.0 cumulative GPA halfway through their final year. Students who attend the event are then asked to invite an educator who had a meaningful impact on their success.

This year, 274 students were invited. Of those, 180 attended the event, inviting 120 teachers to be recognized during the ceremony at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.  Each student briefly took the stage to explain what their invited district teacher, counselor, coach, administrator or maybe even family member, meant to them.

Comments focused on the support that the staff members provided to the students. Examples ranged from staying late to help stressed high school students polish last-minute college essays to an elementary teacher providing a welcoming and safe space to a young immigrant student who didn’t know English.

The full Superintendent’s Honors Night 2025 can be viewed on the district’s YouTube Channel.

A list of those recognized at the event can be found in the Superintendent’s Honors Night Program.
