The annual Dearborn Public Schools Art Show will hold an opening reception on April 15, 2026 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The show features students from all grade levels and from schools across the district. The public is encouraged to attend the opening reception. The show will be at the Padzieski Art Gallery inside the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn.
For those who cannot make the opening reception, the art will be on display in the gallery from April 15 through May 16. The gallery’s usual hours are Wednesday to Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Dearborn Public Schools Art Show is a longstanding spring tradition in Dearborn, a collaboration between the district and the City of Dearborn. Art teachers from across Dearborn Public Schools select pieces of student artwork to have displayed at the show, highlighting student artists in kindergarten through high school. Exhibits will include both two-dimensional and three dimensional work created from a variety of mediums. Some talented high school artists will also have special features. Featured student artists will include Mariam Merhe from Berry Career Center; Medina Faraj and Riley Clark from Dearborn High; Mariam Dabaja, Ruba Omar and Warood Saleh from Fordson High; Gavin MacKenzie and Marwaa AlJabori from Edsel Ford High; and Zahraa Bazzi and Kole Catris from Virtual K-12. Short videos featuring some of the student artists will also be posted on the district’s YouTube channel.
