The district has one more calendar date to release for the new school year.
Schools will hold their open houses on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023. The events will be a chance for students, parents and guardians to meet teachers, visit their schools and find their classrooms before school starts on Monday, Aug. 28.
Families should watch for more information from their child’s school regarding exact times for that building’s open house. Note Dearborn Virtual K-12 will hold its open house on Aug. 22.
The August open houses will replace the open houses traditionally held in September.
The district has not yet released its full calendar for the 2023-24 school year, but hopes to be able to do so soon. School calendars are negotiated with the Dearborn Federation of Teachers. The new teachers contract has not yet been finalized.
