Card allows district residents age 60+ to attend home sporting events for free

The 2026 Premier Citizen Card

Dearborn Public Schools is continuing its tradition of encouraging older residents to attend school events by offering free admission and other special discounts via the Premier Citizen Discount Card.

District residents age 60 or older can stop in to any Dearborn Public School or the Administration Service Center, 18700 Audette St., Dearborn, to pick up this year’s Premier Citizen Discount Card. Those who already have cards will notice they do not expire until next year, so they do not need new cards.  The Dearborn Public Schools District includes all of Dearborn and a section of Dearborn Heights.  (See the map.)

“Over the past twenty years, I have had the privilege of witnessing the powerful support of our families and community, even those without children in our schools.  We are happy to welcome those residents who are over 60 to enjoy school events with the Premier Citizen Discount Card,” said Superintendent Mike Esseily.

The Premier Citizen Discount Card is free and provides free admission to most school-sponsored activities including concerts and athletic events at the home school.  Discounted tickets are available for plays and musicals, which are not free because schools must pay for performance licenses.  The program does not include playoff games and other Michigan High School Athletic Association events held at a district high school.  Those age 60 or older can also receive discounts on select Community Education classes.
